Granny's gone and done it again

I aint never had that that I know of..
perfect example I have been waiting to ask you about ! 2 words together. how does that work ?
I don't understand.
Rhubarb looks like red celery. It's sour and has to be cooked to eat, you don't eat the leaves. Pies and jams mixed with strawberries are how it's usually used, but I bet it could be made into relish also.

They do NOT make pretty boy clothes. My friend was watching Robert for me while I cleaned house. He was meeting his GM and family for the first time. He was just a month or so. They showed, house was spotless, here comes friend bringing Robert.. In a pink frilly dress !! I about fell through the floor.
#1 was a beautiful baby. Even dressed in boy colors and overalls, people would constantly come up and tell be how beautiful my little girl was. I was so tempted to put him in pink, but I actually liked the boy clothes.

Elder? Who told? But yea I'm getting up there a little bit. Raised my daughters alone from the time they were 1 and 7. Course they're growed now. One's happily married with 6 kids. 3 of hers and 3 of his. The younger girl is happily single. She works at the local county sheriff's office as a dispatcher. Me, I sit here at the house and watch my 3 yr old grandson for my daughter while she works. Plus I care for my 9 chickens and chocolate lab.

I aint never had THAT THAT I know of. I know thats not proper. teach me teacher.
I ain't no English teacher! :hmm

It is proper.
The first THAT is a noun, a thing you are referring to. (If I was an English teacher I would have said a thing to which you are referring.)
The second THAT is a conjunction. You are adding a phrase (that you know of) to clarify your initial statement.

Or something like that. My sis would know. She's got a Masters in English Lit.

Thank you ! I would not have thought it proper and actually spend a lot of time trying to change a sentence to avoid it.

Granny, he's got a chocolate lab... eats chow chow... Is there a theme here?
pertnear, your grandson is so lucky to have you! My mom watched my second son for a few hrs, couple times a week when he was a toddler. They had a grand time together and he learned a lot from her.
