Oh my goodness! Melissa came in from feeding the chickens and said there was a hen with a stuck and bloody egg. Between the two of us we were able to catch her, brought her in, gave her a Calcium +D3 tablet and have her here in the LR in a crate. She does not seem to be in distress. Maybe she's a little huddled. Any advice? How long before the calcium goes to work?

Sometimes a warm bath will relax the muscles so she can lay.

Good idea, had not thought of that. She was running around with the others and eating treats before we brought her in, but that's a good idea, thanks.

Awesome news. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of the back problems. At our age we all get a bit of degenerative disc disease. Hopefully it's nothing worse than that.

Its infected because the Dr cut it off, ripped it out from under the bed and put acid under there so it couldn't grow back
