I think they should have a dog at those group homes for all the residents to use as support when they need it

No you should tell him everything. They could all be part of the same thing. Make a list. Like, if your joints hurt, tell him ALL the joints that hurt. Don't take this like I'm a doctor or anything, but that will help him with his diagnosis. Maybe you have some form of, say, arthritis that affects your whole body. So he should treat your whole body not just this joint or that joint. Ya know?
