Granny's gone and done it again

Morning all, Sadness for Chuck Norris. Tom and I watched Walker for about 5 hrs. a day Mon.-Fri. He did love the karate movies and he would watch every single one of his made. Sometimes he would say the next line in the show before they did.
I spoke w/ a woman from a call center and asked her where she was. I always ask. lol Anyway, she was in Belize. She said the night were cold and the days hot. I told her that sounded like good sleeping to me. She giggled and agreed.
Was just about to say

I have a special thank you to @h2oratt for starting this. You really are a good person.

You are so welcome. I am really happy the funeral home did that got you. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.

@Granny Hatchet I remember how good I felt when I paid off the last of my mother's hospital and funeral bills. I was broke. No help. Wound up taking out a small load and sold off everything I could in order to buy her a grave marker. You never know what you can do until you have your back to the wall. It was nice that they cut you a break. Just proves there are nice business people out there.

I had a weird thing happen today out in the coop. I have a little bantam rooster that I helped out of his shell on my last hatch. He was a late hatcher and mom had left the nest abandoning him so I wound up hand raising him with chicks I had incubated inside as she wouldn't accept him back.

Well, he grew up into a brat. My only aggressive Silver Duck Wing rooster out of about 30. When ever I go into the bachelor pen he will do his darnedest to either attack my foot but recently he has taken up sitting on a shelf and if I get close enough, he will reach out and bite me. Today when he did that I gave him a good whack on his side sending him off the shelf onto the floor where the little dickens went at my foot and shin. He's small enough that it would be funny if he didn't really pack a punch with his attacks and needless to say, his spurs don't feel all that great. He's broke the skin on my leg before. I couldn't catch him nor could I reach him. He flew at me again and to my surprise one of the other bachelors put himself between me and Rascal and fought him back. Rascal turned and said enough and ran outside. It was almost like my rescuer was saying, back off idiot, she's the treat and food lady! I've warned Rascal that he would fit in a quart fruit jar but he isn't impressed.

Have any of you ever heard of a rooster protecting a human or had it happen to you?
I have a Bielefelder rooster that I hand raised because he had splayed legs as a chick. His name is Rufus and he follows me around when I'm doing chores. If any of the other roosters get too close he makes them back off.
The first time we had chickens we had a Rhode Island Red rooster and several hens. The rooster attacked me every time I went in the run. The last time he did it I hit him under his beak with an empty gallon size can, flipped him over on his back hard enough it knocked the wind out of him! He never attacked me again.

Nervous or really excited to get on with the next chapter of your life? You know what to expect at the new place and that it is a step in the right direction for you. I'm happy for you.
Nervous. I mean, I’m excited too I guess but I don’t really know what to expect or what it’s like. I’ve only visited a few times. I don’t even know the food situation LOL but I do think it will be good though.
