Granny's gone and done it again

arent strawberries supposed to run ?
Depends on the variety. I want to set up some in hanging baskets and need to find a good variety for that. Anything that gets watered here in summer also gets inundated with pill bugs... and I like the strawberries just a tad sweeter than they do, so don't get many. If I hang them, no pill bugging!

Hubs and I tried to put some birds netting up in the cherry tree yesterday. It's loaded this year, and hoping we get a few handfuls before the birds devour them. Not sure what we are going to catch in that netting... wonder if the raccoons are smart enough to keep from getting tangled up.

Those sound great, but I think my baskets would be too small for them. Have some pots on the patio that would be perfect for them. Have to order early in the season. Love the everbearing ones, because I am not into collecting a whole bunch at once for canning or anything. Just want a handful every so often for munching or for my cereal.

I like the oak half barrels. dont forget mulch, they like their roots cool.

plus the different bloom on those are pretty.
Yes, the pink is very pretty! Oak barrels are almost clique around here and they want too much money for them. I have a huge glazed ceramic pot and I could grow 3 of those Tristans in it. My hanging baskets need a smaller plant. I want day-neutral types, which are true everbearing, berries from spring til fall. Most everbearing have only 2 blooms per season.

Guess I've turned into even more of a lurker. This small print takes me forever to read. My silkies chicks are growing fast since i moved them to the rabbit hutch. Everything is planted in garden has come up. Still need to plant h20's pumpkin, squashes. Also cantelope & melons need to be planted but the soil is toooo wet. Scrambled egg Sammy for lunch was soooooo good.

Jane, was worried. Cant see if your on and dont know your lurking. Glad all your veggies are up. Everyone is missing you and your expertise . Peeps dont know if they got hens or roos, gardens turning yellow.
