It's his full-time job. He does everything from bookkeeping and checks to maintenance on grounds and equipment. I'm considered part time because I don't work much in the "off" season, but it's easy to have 16-hr days this time of year. We have full-time (breakfast thru after supper) childcare in the summer, on camp days. Today their babysitter took them to the library! I see them at meals, during any breaks that I go home, and for baths/bedtime. DH and I pass like ships in the night, because I'm in the kitchen by 6 and asleep before 10. He's not done til midnight or later, because he goes to the worship services. Those are busy weeks. There are only 50 people here right now, so it's pretty relaxed.
Wow, that's a tough job. For both of you. I wondered what you did with your children.
Cool place but I would hate being on call 24/7
Wow! So much good info. Ok, let me think... Everything gets full morning/afternoon sun, shade in the evening. We had talked about shade cloth earlier. One of the staff has worked in a nursery and has recommended a fertilizer.
It was raining this morning when I was there, so I didn't have my phone.
Guess I've turned into even more of a lurker. This small print takes me forever to read. My silkies chicks are growing fast since i moved them to the rabbit hutch. Everything is planted in garden has come up. Still need to plant h20's pumpkin, squashes. Also cantelope & melons need to be planted but the soil is toooo wet. Scrambled egg Sammy for lunch was soooooo good.
What does that mean?gallerys up
I forgot to "insert quote" the other day when Sour posted this..granny, you'll appreciate this. How long have we been under the new format ? It took me until just now to notice how to access 'unanswered threads'.![]()

I wanted to tell him that the UNANSWERED Threads was new..it hasn't always been there on this new site.
I'm going to keep my 4 hours story short.
Short version: Went to go to the feed store this afternoon for hay and feed for horses and chickens.
A SUV police was hauling ask down a two lane road and slammed right into the back of me. DH was actually driving, I was passenger.
We will be ok. Just pretty pissed that this happened...NO telling what he (the driver) was thinking but he did seem pretty sorry.
Had to wait for his Sargent to get to the scene. Then had to wait for the investigation officers to arrive.
Best part..it happened right in front of my feed store...ALL was caught on their surveillance cameras. He was at fault!!
Now...we don't carry the rent a car stuff on our insurance policy so I need to find out if the cop's insurance will cover the cost of me getting a rent a car or not.
I will deal with that tomorrow.
I'm just happy to be home and out of the heat!
(I was able to record the video on my phone when the owner of the feed store was playing it back for the investigators.)
Not exactly sure how it helps anything. Went there and saw dead baby duck pictures.gallerys up
Thank goodness you are all okay! And even better that you have proof against the driver who hit you. Police dept should pay for your rental car. Get a nice expensive one! They don't want any lawsuits. Pain and suffering and all that. Is your truck totaled? Never going to be as good as new. They should pay for a new replacement. Those guys are supposed to be specially trained to drive. I bet he was texting on his cell phone!!!I forgot to "insert quote" the other day when Sour posted this..

Went there and saw dead baby duck pictures.I never made any albums, just had my pics grouped by what thread I posted them in. Maybe I don't know how to use it. Rather they were in my profile like before.
