I found another dead chick today. My naked neck. Loved to death by Roxie, the murdering nanny.

Found a baby on death's door. Laying on its side, getting trampled by its friends/siblings. Thought it was injured til I picked it up. Nope, just starved.

I gave it a few drops of rooster booster in the beak and made it a feed slurry. My chick starter is 24%, hoping that'll give it a boost. It really went to kicking when it heard and saw the water. It can stand by itself. I'm going to put it in the brooder with heat. Maybe a sibling?

yes, Sunny, Its a girl right ? very big and pretty. I keep putting my eye on this calico out here but its a girl of course. Not sure that matters anymore. My boy is getting his kittens to raise. times a changing ! hahaa

Also, calico color is sex linked. Always a female. Same for tri color torties. If you ever find a male calico, you have found a rare thing indeed!

Those look super yummy! Blackberry season isn't until August here and they don't get as plump as that. I love blackberry jelly or syrup. Our farm was called Berry Patch Farm! Blackberries everywhere!

uhh, hell to the no. i meant my boy cat. I knew this about the calico. Thats how I knew it was a girl. all th others i cant tell. they all look the same.
