Mom and I used to make blackberry and apply jelly, she did the blackberry and I did the apple. She liked to freeze apples and I would take the skins and cores for the jelly. In the winter she would roll out canned biscuits and make fried apples then put them in the biscuit and fry them and I would make icing for the top. Of couse that was the left over fried apples from breakfast with gravy and biscuits.

and now I have made myself hungry.

Sell all that jelly before it ruins & make some u all can eat. BIL was asking me to make pear preserves like i used to. Told him would have to use Splenda. He's diabetic also.

Boil them, granny. Strain out the seeds. Use Splenda to make jelly that u all can eat with whole wheat toast. Use real butter too.

Jane, have you ever tried stevia? I can't eat the artificial sweetners, especially whatever they put in diet soda. Tried it one time and did not have a good reaction. Stevia is supposed to be less processed, but I haven't tried it yet.

Get yourself a latex glove and some personal lubricant like K-Y Jelly or even Vaseline. Apply a tiny bit of lubricant on the index finger and gently insert your index finger into her vent. Don't go down with your finger, but straight back. If there is a stuck egg it is usually right there within the first 1 to 2 inches inside her oviduct. The Shell Gland is about 2 inches in and many times you will feel them that far back. The egg normally doesn't get stuck in the Shell Gland, but most often closer to the cloaca or vent area. If you don't feel an egg by completely sticking your finger inside her than she is not egg bound. And if there is no egg present you would be feeling into her intestinal tract and not her oviduct. The passage to the oviduct is only open when an egg is presently moving out of the Shell Gland.

uhh, hell to the no. i meant my boy cat. I knew this about the calico. Thats how I knew it was a girl. all th others i cant tell. they all look the same.

You can't tell the genders or their markings all look the same?

Can't tell you how many times I've had to help someone sex kittens. And then there's the ones that say you can't tell gender younger than 6 weeks The cat faerie comes at 6 weeks and gives kittens genitals *poof*

I'd like to mention my mom called our male cat growing up her/she. HIS name was Tom didn't look the least bit girly.
