Granny's gone and done it again

Quit raining so i fed the critters. Muck too deep in 2 of my pens so i put pans of feed inside the doors. 7 eggs by 1 pm. May need an ark. Started to mailbox in the car during the rain & about halfway down driveway it wouldn't go forward. Put it in reverse & backed up driveway

Wishing, GS is 16. He s gonna mow grass for me but he was asleep at 8:30am. He or dh will have to weed whip. That's one thing my back won't allow. Also hand washing dishes is a no go.

I'm done working for the day! After breakfast I took a helper to the farm and mucked out the breezeway. The helper checks all the babies, they're thin but not skeletal. We gave them rooster booster and two pans of crumbles. I'll do rooster booster again tomorrow, then water, then treat for cocci over the weekend.

Fluttershy is happily setting 13 eggs, but I only gave her 12. Not looking forward to 35 days of pulling eggs.

Bubba is very sad about the naked neck chick. He's not crying, but suddenly nothing is as much fun.

Pics of the starved baby.

Plenty old enough to scramble his own eggs, then. They do sleep a lot at this age, but they need it. Brain is going through major reorganization about this time, so extra sleep is good. Glad he is there to help with the heavy stuff. I have trouble doing tasks with my arms out in front, like dishes. I'm good for about 30 mins, then I have to stop and rest or stretch out. I am sore from yesterday cutting up tree branches. gahhh, it's always something!
