I noticed the second pip early this morning. So from there should I wait 24 to 48 hours before helping? It really hasn't made much progress at all if any sense this morningSomething wrong??
Duck? 48 hours from pip, 40--50 zip. I've found they can go even longer, easy. Go with your gut, and remember that if there's yawning the yolk isn't absorbed. If it's punching around in one spot for a long time it might be stuck.
In the ducks? As long as there's been progress in the last 12 hours, I'd definitely wait. They're so easy to help too soon. Remember, it can breathe, so no rush to get it out..I noticed the second pip early this morning. So from there should I wait 24 to 48 hours before helping? banty told me to just keep an eye on it. She said sometimes they will hatch like that but it may take longer for them to hatch since they're making both internal and external pipsWhat did u do for it, Red?
