weirdest thing just happened on my phone. I was trying to do as you suggested to tap in the text area and inn the background I am listening to the radio talking about the suicide of Kurt Cobain. All of a sudden it shows up in the text box . Pretty weird
I listen to podcasts all the time on my phone. I like the health related ones.

Good Morning, Granny's House!

Morning y'all.

Plants have been watered

Cluckers have been loosed (into their pen, not total free ranging - that only happens supervised. Too many neighborhood dogs/cars on the road/etc and I haven't fenced the yard yet. It's on my to do list.

So. Elsewhere on my to do list. Apparently we get to drive to near la to pick up another truck.

That's it though. When we get this truck and get it going we'll be selling the dually and paying some stuff off. So, yay. And hubs is well and truly cut off on more trucks. If he finds a nice old wagon for me though...Haha.

Though he's overruling my want for a stick. Dislike. I have had crap for luck with automatic transmissions down here! There's always some sort of gremlin!

Don't know when he'll get around to doing my transmission cooler on my car but sigh. At least I got "my truck" partly registered. Just needs a smog. (Course my truck was supposed to be a donor truck for some diesel parts. Not sure what's going on with that...but oh well. I'm laying claim to it cause it's not freaking huge so I'm not afraid to drive it (unlike four door dually of dang you got a big bum!!)

Though he's got til Tuesday to fix it I guess. He left offroadvo at work yesterday so he could drive his work truck home...so Monday am we'll ride in together and I'll drive that home.

Morning Granny..

I know why I have not posted here much since coming back from the cow poop on the boot people site...

It dawned on me as I sipped my perfectly brewed cup of coffee..

This thread moves fast, I do not, I am too old to move fast....and I can't keep up..
Its ok, Pop in once in a while with a wave ! :frow

Mornings all, Camping, seen your tomatoes. they are so leggy ! wonder if you pinch the top out of one and see if that makes a difference ?

lord help me. Dad went to the doc today and came home with 6 bottles of pills. He was explaining it to me. *holds bottle up* this is a bp pill. Looks at name. Dad that's a diuretic. He grabs another "this is cholesterol pills" no dad, why do you have diabetes medicine? Oh those are sugar pills you say?...:th

I went through and labeled EVERY bottle!
When my dad was in his mid 70s, he went for a checkup and it was bad. His dr wrote him prescriptions for 5 different pills. Dad wouldn't take the Rx paper and said he wasn't taking any pills and what's Plan B? Dr told him he needed those pills... only a matter of time beforel a heart attack... prediabetic, bad cholesterol, high blood pressure, and the next time he saw him was probably going to be in the ER. Dad said he still wasn't taking any #*@!! pills, and what should he do. Dr told him exercise, change his diet, stop drinking, lose 30 lbs and come back in 6 months. Six months later, the Dr walks into the exam room looking at the new blood tests results and said he didn't believe it was the same person. Dad had done everything he said, except the weight loss (think he lost closer to 40lbs), and he had reversed all the bad test results. The Dr was shocked... said he has told the same thing to hundreds of patients (diet and exercise), but my dad was the first one that ever followed that advice. Dad is mid 80s now, and still doesn't take any pills... he doesn't need them. Jane's done the same thing with her hubs... it really makes a difference.

poor guy, Thats why CVS has to fill our meds.
You know that guy is at it again with another ?
That man is going to die alone.

It's so hard for me to image someone living with out AC...but it is almost impossible to do so in my location. But we can totally live with out a heater down here. As long as you aren't at 85+ all day long inside it makes sense...
Is it just you that doesn't have ac or is it common for your area?
It's pretty common to not have ac in our area. Most of the newer homes do, but anything pre-90s has no central ac. If we had your kind of humidity, we would have ac for sure!

That's why i sit on porch or under pear tree when taking a break from chores. Have a fan for nap & night time. House stays fairly cool during the day. I open Windows in early morning & close them at noon.
