72* this am. Wanted to go to flea market but talked myself outta it. Dishwasher loaded, coffee on, bacon in oven & I'm resting on the porch. Breeze blowing, chickens singing egg song. I pulled 2 ticks off a puppy's head & she bleed like a stuck pig. Hope that doesn't offend any pigs. Had to squit off the porch floor. Looks like rain is coming AGAIN. Think it's gonna be like this through Saturday cause of Cindy. What happened to Brit?

Dead-headed some marigolds last night, ahead of the storm, and got seeds off the lime basil. I need to figure out how to get the out of the pods, I guess, and how to store them. The purple basil had finished flowering, hoping it seeds soon.

Camping, I scattered a ton of marigold seeds last fall hoping for some this spring and not the first one came up. no tomatoes either and hundreds of tommy toes fell.

None of mine self-seeded either, which is why I'm trying to save them in advance. Heard DH talking with high school boys about building more raised beds... Hope he wasn't just making conversation.

How many do you have ? I have a raised bed but no dirt in it. It looks like a twin sized bed headboard and all.
