I don't at all. I just seem to have really great luck with marigolds. And petunias. This was the first marigold I ever grew (couple years back) next to the 4ft chicken coop.

And these are my petunias this year.

I don't think it's poop. Unless they are radioactive lol there's a small bit of poo next to it.
