The green ones are most common and are good. They look kind of brown, though, but not as brown as brown lentils!!what kind ? Do they come mixed ? All I have seen is 16 bean soup . has those and soup beans in it.
It's like anything, you can go kind of crazy with it. (brownish)Green will probably be the ones you find in the store, right next to the packaged dried beans.
black, bottom center facing bottomHere. Spot the Roos lol all the blue/black chicks are 2 weeks old. The yellow ones are 1 week. Btw this pic was taken during the cleaning of the brooder lol

Yeah, I was looking at the brown faced one too, but thought maybe that breed just has larger combs. All yellow chicks should be boys. They are the peanuts lol
Granny that chick looks just like quirky and I'm pretty sure also a boy. Brown faced chicks seem to be kinda sex linked males but no adult barring.
No male sickles, saddles, or hackles... yet. sighYeah, I was looking at the brown faced one too, but thought maybe that breed just has larger combs.
I'm STILL going back and forth over Spike the Autralorp. Comb is not red, but pretty darn big as are the wattles. No signs of male saddle feathers coming in. Almost 14 weeks now. Anyone every have a cockerel develop that slowly? She just acts like a boy, is tall and lanky like a boy, and grew long tail feathers that curl down at the ends (which I hope will molt out soon!).No male sickles, saddles, or hackles... yet. sigh
