clove and cinn. oil mixed 50/50 and put on a rag, cotton balls, ect.. supposed to be good snake repellent

Yeah, I was looking at the brown faced one too, but thought maybe that breed just has larger combs.

I'm STILL going back and forth over Spike the Autralorp. Comb is not red, but pretty darn big as are the wattles. No signs of male saddle feathers coming in. Almost 14 weeks now. Anyone every have a cockerel develop that slowly? She just acts like a boy, is tall and lanky like a boy, and grew long tail feathers that curl down at the ends (which I hope will molt out soon!). No male sickles, saddles, or hackles... yet. sigh

Mother is buff Orp. I think spike is just a manly lady.

Then you select "this thread only"
