Yes, they were. Got them from a local breeder to try to break a broody. Fail! So I ended up raising them, but they got sold because BOYS.

Nah. You're not doomed, you ramble about stuff we all understand. I have a tendency to go way off in the weeds, both in real life and on here... Since I'm turning into more of a breeder as a contrast to the pet or non SOP folks here, I often find that the intriguing topics to me are things most just plain don't care about.

I'm toying with the idea of going on other forums to blabber about showbirds, but I haven't worked up the courage to join.



Don't the BBS variety have a dark lacing as opposed to a uniform colour?

Well, yeah, but the people there are some of the best breeders in North America. I'm a brand new poultry keeper, with only 3 years under my belt, and I don't know too much about the etiquette of the poultry biz. I'm deathly afraid of saying something wrong or offending someone I really need to be on the good side of.

oh but he woo's them and snuggles with them and gives kisses and then only has about a 3 hour window. Much less sleep for him.
