Not sure. They were supposed to hatch Friday but didn't. And the bator has been off. They were probably starting to break down. I only opened the two that were alive at lockdown. One had internally pipped.

Im so sorry. can yo get some more eggs ?

Eventually. I wasn't ready for them, in terms of housing. So I can try again when I'm more prepared.

Granny, evenings are busy for me. Getting supper, watching the shows, doing homework, sometimes baths at night, and then I'm usually dosing on the sofa by 9. I have fun reading to catch up, though.

That's a good way to look at it -- it has definitely been a beautiful day today -- this was my view this morning:


Mt. St. Helens - wanted to get Mt. Rainier in there too, but it hadn't burned off enough to see it just yet when I snapped pic. Warm and sunny........enough that one of the rose bushes decided to put up one more little piece of beauty:

so pretty!!! what mountain top is that with snow on it? so lovely!!

Could be. He was pretty small. Also, he was eating some layer feed, so too much calcium probably affects the smaller birds more.

I have always fed the little flock chickstarter with amprolium, my thinking........ most smaller birds in general need more protein right? and I have had issues with cocci hear at the mountain run off its always damp wet! did you read about the lethal gene I think the short legged serama are the carriers?
