Yes, you can give Amoxicillin to chickens. I am now giving it to one one mine with bumblefoot (foot infection). The dosage is 5mg/lb. So, if you have the Amoxidrops and your chicken is 5 pounds, you give .5mL (one-half mL, NOT five mL), which= 25 mg. If you want to try to give pills, give one-half of a 50 mg pill once daily. One study said twice that is safe. I have been giving it for a few days now, ONCE a day, plus soaking the foot in diluted Nolvasan solution for about 10 minutes twice a day - can also use warm water and Epsom salt. She was quarantined for a few days when the foot was oozing and she was limping badly, but now the foot looks SO much better and she is running around the yard again!

Clean it with iodine and use antibiotic ointment. If you have no iodine, use half water , half hydrogen peroxide. It is too bad vets are so greedy. They would get more business and help more people if they charged less.i called the vets office here and they want $150 to vaccinate three kittens. Vaccine is $7 retail. Might cost the vet $15 total. That is one hell of a profit margin.
