You can get them to put an animal down for about $20 if you call around. Been there, had to do that. Had a goat with Tetanus once even after vaccinating. Heartrending.

We keep fishmox on hand all the time my wife has several bottles of the same thing in prescription on hand as well

Maybe where you live. there are 3 vets in Madison. I called a different town when Binks got attacked by a coyote . They wanted $500.00 to put him down on er basis. Thankfully my vet saved him with a lot of hard work from me. I hate to see anything suffer but if there was something I could do with these that I didnt think was cruel or possible for me to do it would already of been done. I keep male cats for this reason. one was not neutered. My mistake but these kittens were dumped at about 3 weeks of age and I have done a lot for them so I guess if you feed a cat its considered yours but my $87.00 a month SSI is going to buy them food not much of anything else. I should of let them die when I first found them.

That was in TN. Some vets would even accept animal surrenders then fix them and find homes.

No, I havent cleaned it, I havent done anything. No telling what bit them. coon, coyote. pretty good sized hole and infection came fast.
