Granny's gone and done it again

Didn't know it'd expire. Local library isn't that great and I've not had a bunch of time to read the last few years. I usually buy a book or two if I see something. But a lady yesterday told me about a app and apparently I need a library card.

So after putting my barcode # and pin in, it didn't work so I had to go dig out the card to double check the #.
What I do is switch libraries once a year. By then the kids have usually picked out all the good books and are ready for a new one. Sometimes we'll hit gold and stay for two or three years. I don't have a card at my local library... Their book selection looks like the discard bin at a yard sale.

That's when the funny wanna be curse words show up lol I use "snap, crackle, pop" a lot.
Um, no but there were no children present. So i pulled on my toe until i got it back where it belonged. Then we went to the ER. Spriral fracture, never had one of those before. Happened just before we moved north.

That's what ours is like. I just need a # so I can get into the Ohio library online thing. It's frustrating because it's Sunday so they're not open til tomorrow at 10. So I have to wait.

If I physically went to a library in the county it'd be a bit of a drive either way I went. And beyond that it's at least a hour drive one way after that.
The online physical lending is good. You order online but may have to wait then once it's in you go pick it up at your local library.

I've just resigned myself to at least an hour away one way drive for everything.

Men's clothes are more comfortable than women's. Plus they are often cheaper. I wear those white mens shirts to bed or outside working.
Sounds like a good idea! You've been busy! I've accomplished nothing! lol

I do, and it's been so hot it's hard to wear my mask.

I'd participate in a seed swap, but I feel like most of the seeds I'd have to swap folks would already have! :p Things like Ky wonder pole beans are pretty popular.

There you go. I need to wear one too.

Hurry! Lol I like to rearrange the furniture when the hubby is away lol Or do little home improvement jobs he would never let me do by myself if he were home.
He used to be surprised by this . . now he is used to it and just says. . don't burn the house down while I'm gone.

You'll get it done...The way you're going at it now you'll be done with a week to relax before he comes home!:thumbsup

Oh, is that what you're building, a chicken coop? I saw in your post above that you were pulling weeds at the build site, and I was going to ask what you are building! I'm still trying to remember who's who on here since I've only been here a few days. I don't have the greatest memory, unfortunately.

Flopsy Mopsy succumbed to the heat i found her in the back yard when I come home from church no feathers missing no blood any where

I'm dopey !!! Any of the other 7 dwarfs here lol

Mom and dad have a plot in Hermosa Cemetary... Thats where Wyatt Erps brother was buried. Dads already there... Grandpa is already there... Grandma will go in next to Grandpa. All in the OLD section.

I want my ashes scattered on my property... or at sea... I want to be part of the earth... as soon as possible.

Oh im inside and I live on high ground

Oh...Well then, no telling. I must have miss read...Not the first time!!!:lau

You need a hired hand! Or at least someone willing to work for supper!;)

So sorry, I assume you're better then...
With all the work you've done you'd have to be! :D

Im the same way... "let go of my ears I know what I am doing" kind of thing... I just need a gofer and a holder of the other end of the board.. Though I found Zip ties work for that pretty well ....

Though I do need to move the Stall mats in my horses corral.... I am going to splurge and get me a Garden Tractor....

Hi sis. It'll give you BYC mobile experience lol I only use mobile. Pip in and say something once in awhile even if it's just a few words. Wonder if you can talk and it put what you say? Think red does that? Or maybe it was someone else.

Well, no matter what seeds you have, probably someone else here that doesn't have it. I don't have pole bean seeds right now. HE brought me some blue lake bush beans earlier this year as part of a gift, so those are what I planted. I know I have some left. Just got back inside from the heat. Brain fried in my pate. Y'all stay cool. I'm off to lunch , air conditioner, and a nap!

:frowim out! Ttyl

Can't understand this younger generation and their "lighters" ...

I twirled a stick, my daddy twirled a stick, my granddaddy twirled stick and that's how we liked it! ... good enough for me and my kin!

We are very careful around here with what we say ever since Lauren started talking she don't have to hear something twice before she try's to repeat it LOL threatened to wash the mouth out to some adults .

Just realized my rabbit may be due again as early as a week from now. Time to put the nesting box in! Better do that tomorrow.

My wife and I have always loved the BYC forum, but for some reason just never signed up. We had our first go round with chickens in our back yard of about a third of an acre for a year about 4 years ago and then had to sell it all when we had to move. After building up the nerve to ask our neighbors for their blessing, this past February we received our 1-day old chicks - 15 of them. Part of the deal is that we don't have roosters, but we can live with that. We live in an area where it would be a little surprising to find chickens in the back yard, and we love that it has worked out to have them again! All the ladies were hatched on February 20th and are a combination of different breeds. We have 2 Blue Splash Marans, 2 Golden Cuckoo Marans, 2 Black Australorps, 1 Buff Orpington, 1 Lavender Orpington, 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Blue Easter Eggers, and 3 Welsummers.

This past week, on July 20th (exactly 5 months in) we found a tiny blue egg and a tiny pink/tan egg. Today we got a tiny darker brown egg. We are so excited that some of them have started laying, and we THINK we know which ones are doing the laying. The Orpington sisters don't seem to be mature enough yet, and one of the Easter Eggers is a bit farter behind her sister on the comb development, but we were honestly not expecting any eggs this early either.

I would not consider us experts by any means, but compared to most of our friends, family, co-workers we certainly are as they have started having a lot of questions. We love finding out about our friends who have had chickens in the past or are considering starting it up again and we have always found this place to be a very kind and friendly place to find answers when we don't know the answers.

So, that is pretty much what there is about us at this point. Thanks for having us here! Are any of you currently enjoying chickens in your back yard here in the Tampa area??

I can't , our electric bill is so high now.

In front of children is a no no. Even if you bang your foot on the coffee table.

I cut my Chickens Lettuce down and gave it to them so it can regrow back up. Later I will pull the chickens beet greens up and then reseed that. I put in a garden just for them next to the coop's. Mine is in the back yard!

Sometimes no clothes just makes it hotter !! And in mixed company it's ackward .

Gave them up lol
My wife don't even wear them no more lol

I can get a "cheap" women's nightshirt for $12 or I can get a pack of men's for $14!
I don't wear any shirt while outside working. Unless we are expecting workers. We don't know anyone so we don't get visitors. Much cooler, i keep a shirt handy in case i need one

Good grief, i have a backlog of quotes!
