Depends on how you like your bacon about 20 minutes if you don't preheat I like mine chewy Sue likes hers crispy I just get mine done enough that it don't kill folks lol

Thanks Danna. It was the last straw in a bad week. I went up to the coop and scared the hawk... it tried to fly off with the hen, but dropped her. She was already dead, poor thing. Stupid hawk was sitting on the tree overhead, looking to get the others. I got out the hose and encouraged it to go away. Just yesterday, it was in the yard over by the big girls' coop, but it doesn't seem to go after the bigger birds. The Seramas will stay locked up unless I can be out with them.

Im getting that hatching itch again . I havent even cleaned the brooders out yet. I got this nice bator here from Lisa and its like having a dollar burning a hole in my pocket.

My dad said his mom raised chicks during the war. She got a couple hundred chicks and raised them in her garage until they were fully feathered and sold them all off. She made a bit of money. just a bit.

Im so mad at myself. Get up early while its cool out thinking Im gonna do something and here I sit. Not only is it too hot out but Im too sleepy too.

Same thing here. The fog just now pulled back, and it's going to warm up a bit today.

Unfortunately Pearl didn't know and told them to fix it. They have another one of ours there too. I called and told them to leave that one alone and I'd fix it. It will be rough on me but if they charged that much foe the first one I don't wanna know what they'd charge for the other one.

Red, call them up and dispute the bill. Ask them to account for the charges. Maybe they fixed something that you don't know about. But if they are truly charging that much for simple labor, you need to find a new shop.

I've already disputed it. I told them that they must've been trying to get one over on pearl because I bought the exact part from them a couple weeks ago and I looked up the 2 bolts that they needed . I think they must've forgotten that I bought the part from them before and they didn't put me and pearl together. Oh I'm gonna fix the other one myself. Unless I find someone that's more reasonable.
