Confusing/frustrating/maybe encouraging day in the job hunt -- got the second rejection from the two interviews I went on most recently

But.....when the first one called to say "Thanks, but no thanks" on Friday she actually wanted to talk quite a bit because she told me that another candidate had "just eeked me out" for the position I was interviewed for but there was a different position that would be opening up soon that she would "highly encourage me to apply for" because she thought I would potentially be an "excellent fit" for it. I've been watching the posting site and it finally posted today so I just finished the application for that one and now I just wait and

, it doesn't even close until the 28th - plus I got a call yesterday for an interview for yet another position with yet another department (all the recent ones have been different departments within Department of Human Services), so I have that to look forward to......

Rehab his colon ????

DS had "global hypotonia" (low muscle tone) at birth -- we spent lots of time in the birth to three program doing ST/OT/PT to address motor skills, sensory issues, etc but one issue we (doctors, me, etc) missed for some time was the matter of internal muscle tone and the effect that was having on his bowels......he went through serious constipation issues and we kept going back and addressing it when it got really bad, but it was all band-aid approaches for the flares vs. any sort of management for the long-term. As a result he ended up developing encopresis and megacolon by the time it was identified as a chronic issue and addressed as such. We were fortunate that eventually (we're talking 4/5 grade) with the theraputic use of the miralax, dietary efforts and careful monitoring and "training" of his system we were able to get him to the point where it was pretty much resolved.

oh wow ! were you living here at the time ? I am going to guess no because I have failed at finding pt and sensory help.
That sounds like exactly what CB needs to learn . His bowels were full all the way up in a whole loop of his large intestines and this is reoccurring with him. I went down the ST and OT and PT with Robert in Mi. moved here and nothing.

We were in NC during his time in birth to three program - moved right before he turned three - but the majority of dealing with his bowel issues was in Indiana. We were referred to a GI specialist in Louisville and went through Kosair for his internal studies (our Primary doc was in Scottsburg and initially they wanted to do the testing there but after the prep for that was a complete disaster and stressor for DS and I I contacted the PCM/our insurance and insisted on a referral to a pediatric specialist, SOOO glad we did because our experience at Kosair was an absolute dream and they were set up to the testing without making DS go through the prep like adults have to....... It was the GI specialist and the testing done at Kosair that really set things in motion to address it in a theraputic approach that could bring about a final 'fix' vs the cycle we had been in of "here, give him an enema or this stool softener" every time he got too backed up.
