As for the silkies. They are being brats and I think half might be boy. 4 have a good bit of comb and another is getting wattles!

I'll get pics later because I want them to calm down. (I've been bit a dozen times)

But I think I have a couple black, a lavender a blue, 2 splash, a white, a Buff maybe 2, and 2 red boys. I have a rainbow!

It also has/had white wing feathers tucked away. They probably won't stay but I wish they did.

I had an uncle who wouldn't eat chicken 'cause he'd grown up seeing them picking the corn out of cow pies

If you clean them when your harvesting its no different, around here for years folks that had commercial chicken houses fed the litter to there cows mixed with sweet feed , wouldn't that surprise him
