Granny's gone and done it again

I did make vegetable beef-barley STOUP for dinner tonight. It was very yummy. It doesn't look as good in the picture as it tasted. The only thing missing was homemade crusty bread. No time to bake right now lol.

wish I had a big bowl of that with some of your crusty bread.

It was so good if I say so myself. I'm a hearty thick type of STOUP person like twist. I like it to stick to the ribs. Used fresh green beans from the garden & garden red skins with the skins on. Corn, peas, carrots, celery, onion, stew meat & barley.

We watched him perform the other night. He's pretty good.

Yea, he's good. Hopefully he can follow up with something other than just more Joe Cocker songs. Meaning no disrespect to Joe. I remember watching John Belushi impersonate Joe a few times and it was hilarious.

I had a cat that'd wouldn't eat anything but rabbit pellets.

Lou is picky so I was shocked!

What are some of the good ones you've read? I went through a phase a few years ago and couldn't get enough.
I read all the Black Beauty books when i was a kid. At night, under the blankets...with a flashlight. Funny, i never wanted to get up in the morning!

Thank you H2o, they are so much work, but I like to can things, plus I sell extra veggies & such on our roadside stand. Unfortunately my back problems are making it more & more difficult to do the work. I don't know how much longer I will be able to do it. That's what scares me the most.
I know. I hate getting old. A fresh vegetable garden is vital to our good health. Do you do organic? Our went to the weeds this year. No way I had time to weed.
