So, why go to church? Some folks just go to socialize. I was never into it after my folks made me go when i was a kid.

My grandma made me go every Sunday and Wednesday night when I was a kid. I avoid churches now. They give me the heebie Jeeves. They feel like a sardine can and IF you're such a high and mighty believer then you should practice what you preach and read. The one preacher ran off with a married woman and it's caused nothing but problems since. And don't get me started on the pew sitters.

My folks wouldnt let me go. I would sneek off and jump on any church bus I seen. Was babtised in a methodist church and never even told them.

Can't do that nowadays without parent permission.

I cooked supper for the clergy picnic today. Pistolettes, corn maque choux, nice green salad, and from-scratch pb brownies with from-scratch chocolate frosting. Crawfish is too expensive, so I left it out. Pic is the recipe for pistolettes.

My chickens were starved to death when I went out today. I guess 6 scoops wasnt enough for 2 days. I tossed 2 dozen eggs.

I also think politicians and the media are exploiting these situations. So much political propaganda focuses on differences rather than what we have in common. Too much putting people into groups with labels, and you're horrible if you are with this group and anything goes if you are in that group. It's gotten out of hand, people get angry, and the media encourages it.
We should be focused as much on our responsibilities as we are on our rights. We should look to our blessings and our achievements, and try to bring everyone to a higher standard of living (not just talking money, either). We should respect each other. And it should start with our leaders. No more lying, no more dividing.

Putting my soapbox back in the closet now.

I agree with you completely BUT the biggest problem is that a lot of politician are people that have a low moral level, so it is impossible to expect from a layer to condem lies, and from a thief to condem thefts.
