Granny's gone and done it again

Just came in from outside. The guineas are in the new run with the three chickens. I thought the guineas were plucking each other around their necks but it turns out it is the cockerel being bossy. None of them have figured out how to get through the pop door into the coop! It is only about 18" off the ground but they have not figured it out. I made a ladder but it is not quite dry. So they are going to spend the night in the run. They should be pretty safe, the only thing that might get in would be a mink. I think they are small enough to go through chain link. Here is how we closed the gap between the door and the frame in the dog kennel. 20170904_120027.jpg 20170904_113705.jpg 20170904_113713.jpg

Do keets eat black widows?? You know how people rent out their goat herds for vegetation control... I could get a bunch of keets and muscovies and rent them out for tick, snake, fly and mosquito control. All organic and complementary fertilization included!

And spiders! I forgot the dang black widows!
