Oh, I heard some talk of 6 toed cats, but never the whole story. Had to look it up... the house is beautiful, built in 1851, so seen it's share of hurricanes. Hope it does not meet it's match in Irma. There's a Coast Guard Station right near it and a naval station just 2 hops east. Bet those are still manned. I've always wanted to drive the bridges out there. There's a bunch of things I've always wanted to do. I better get busy!

It is beautiful out there! Everything is so flat! I can't see how people refuse to evac from there. Probably under water now.

Had supper with my parents tonight. Dad suggested cleaning bubba's rash with hydrogen peroxide then antibiotic ointment, so that's what we did. Sounds as good as anything.

We have been told not to use h2o2 on any wounds anymore , even diluted

The Friendship shoot is going on this week with today being the first day. Its a big to do around here and its on my road . The traffic is back to back Every person in town must of drove by my house today . Its a big flea market . All kinds of food including buffalo burgers and muzzle loading . Some peeps walk around looking like Danial Boone. Its fun, I hope I get to go this yr.

You should go, if for no other reason than to get out of the house for a while, walk around, and enjoy yourself in the fresh air. Just don't overdo it to the point that you're exhausted.

Dh paid $200 more for plane ticket than he paid 2 weeks ago. Price godging! Daughter paid $12 for gas & got only 3 gallons in a 5 gallon can. Thievery! I had to put $150 in bank for dh's $350 ticket. Left me with $6 to make it to Wednesday. Hope nothing unexpected happens. Geez Louise.

Gas here jumped 40 cents/gal the second the news of the Houston disaster broke. My truck gets about 15 mpg; I don't go anywhere I don't absolutely have to.
