I'd think the sender, for the above reasons. I'd still tear them a new "posterior orifice", though, going right to the top.

You really should not have to buy insurance. They take delivery and are responsible for the items until delivered. But i guess it is what it is.

Yeah, if they are shipping livestock they need to be more careful. Poor ducks!
