I got an easter egger chick last year that way splay legged and in not suck good shape.
So I culled by just throwing is down on the cement as hard as I could.

That's what the people at the bird rescue do too. They will not take chicks from invasive species, and that's how they cull them. Never did ask what they do for fledglings. I saw a video about a man processing quail. He would hold the bird by feet and wingtips, swing down hard, and thwack the head on the edge of his work table. Skinned and eviscerated and done in under 5 mins.

If I knew where to find one...

my hands wont let me do too many. One an hr. terrible.
I think feeding to snake is not cool. It would take much longer to die and Enola fed frozen mice for sure, dont know about chicks. It dont matter how the head comes off as long as its a clean cut and fast.

I thought I remembered someone raised chicks for snake food?

There are folks around here will process birds/rabbits for a quarter of the meat as payment.

They could have the whole duckling.
