Um aren't tree's supposed to "break" the wind as in slow it down and such. At least that's part of the reason we plant wind breaks OH and to catch the snow. Anything to trap moisture.

Maybe. But when the ground gets soft from the rain they fall over. Our last camp in MS lost hundreds of trees during Katrina, and they weren't near the coast at all. Mid-state, near Jackson.

Here too.clay soil dont let the roots go deep so when the ground is saturated if they are top heavy off they go
