Only half of the families that signed up showed. With the fires, it's been a rough two weeks. They will do a couple more open houses before Christmas. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they didn't get a bunch of new students for next year. #2 gets more attention from the teachers that way.
My youngest is learning to drive. I warned him to be extra watchful for deer on the road because it's rutting season. The males get stupid, stand out on the road defending territory against carsJust read in the paper today we are 5 1/2 inches behind in moisture again.Sure hope the state doesn't cancel deer season because of fear of fires. OR should I say sure hope we get moisture before deer season.
and the females are busy getting away from the males. I heard a small sigh and MAY have detected a slight eye roll emanating from the boy. The very next morning, as he was driving us to school, a doe leapt down onto the road from an embankment right next to our car. Boy did that kid jump! haha! Mom was vindicated and I didn't even have to say told ya so! He said it woke him up! A good thing because he was on the way to take his practice SAT test.Car behind us avoided the doe and she made it to the other side.
Of course it was the last dress she tried on. She narrowed it down to 3 an hour before... Had dresses is 3 dressing rooms. They want me to go with them on Friday after work to go pick it up. I declined.
