So I can use it to treat the birds as well, or is it just for the coop? I do plan on moving them to the bathroom so I can easily watch the roo (he is what worries me most). Should I get some kind dust as well, I know DE has some rather mixed reviews....

Yes, just a different dilution. No, dust doesn't work as well and DE is garbage. Besides, spray application is easiest.

That slack contractor just showed up. It is absurd, they usually leave at 3 pm! If they do that today i am going to urge husband to fire the guy. It is an hour drive or more to get here, why on earth would you work 10-3? Idiot!

I was thinking of making a solar water heater for the guineas since there is no electric down there. Need to buy some materials.

wouldn't you still have to haul water to the solar tank ??

Yes but i do that any way. I want them to be able to drink it instead of having it frozen.
