Granny's gone and done it again

LOL one egg. sounds like mine
Yeah, it is kinda funny, though worrying in the same way.

Go check their roost with a flashlight. Red roost mites are active at night and crawl out of hiding to feed on the birds at night. You will see them dying wherever you sprayed and walking where you missed. If it's them, keep spraying!
Fowl mites stay mostly on the chicken and lay their eggs on the chicken. You will need to keep spraying the birds as the eggs hatch. It is hard to miss the egg clusters... make sure you know what you are dealing with. Red mites can kill in one night. They are evil.

Didn't find anything in the coop, only on the birds; they were black. Almost positive they aren't red mites. I am getting concerned for the roo however, he just keeps itching and I'm not sure if he has gotten paler or not. Tried to go on the roost but just kept jumping back down so he can itch.

To add to it, my vet is off yee- hawing her way to Kentucky at the moment.

Forgot to get any at the feed store. Mostly been mixing crushed up iron supplements into their feed. I have also been giving them molasses and strawberries. Might run over to the dollar store when it opens and get some baby electrolyte. I have used it for the rabbits before and It didn't harm them, unless Gatorade would work...

maybe move or start a new compost pile inside the runs Think of all the work they will save you. And makes up a little when they start slacking in the egg production area.
I do throw a pile of stuff in there periodically, they love it. Talk about slackers. Lucky to get 4 eggs a day & 2 of them are Serama eggs.

He probably is like my hubby & clogs the toilet. That's why he comes to twists house to do his business.

NOPE that would be sherry. Turds the size of small footballs like they give away during parades and such. I threatened to get her a stick blender for the toilet to use before flushing instead of plugging the toilet and the main drain to the street.
