Feed him up good... vitamins or whatever you got, corid won't hurt, and hard boil him some eggs for protein. I won't use antibiotics without good reason.

Do you groom him with a Flowbee? I would use one for Scooter, but don't know if they go short enough.

Genetics. If I remember correctly 15% of the birds in a flock carry 90% of the parasites. They are individuals that for some reason are weaker and more prone to illnesses.
