Had to LOL a bit at that - because it is so true --- I can't get over how early it is getting dark out!

Robert is up and CB is home so I will go fry this hamburger up and BRB.

Work, work, work ---- no rest for the wicked, eh?

Henry ate a fly last night too!

It was delicious!

LOL - those are sky raisins, always a favorite treat in this house.

What kind of dark chocolate do you all like? I will eat it but I like those Lindt chocolate balls.

Dark, shmark......give me Dove milk chocolate!!!!!

Had another interesting interview with the state this morning -- this time they didn't even ask me the questions........like the other interviews it was arrive 10 minutes early, get the questions on a sheet of paper, wait to be called back and meet the "panel" (this time it was 5 people -- other interviews have been three). The other interviews there was at least some back and forth with the panel members, with them asking the questions, etc -- this time, though, the lead panel person explained I would just answer the questions that were on the sheet -- so that was what I did. Each question I would just start talking with the answer I'd have given if I were being asked the question, wait for them all to finish writing down whatever they wanted to write down about my answer and then when they all stopped writing it was time to answer the next question. There wasn't even any of the usual, "Do you have any questions for us" at the end - so literally the only time the panel people talked was introductions when I walked in and the thank yous when I was leaving.............HATE HATE HATE the way they did the interview because there is zero "connection", no back and forth, no ability to try to read how it's going..............they did all seem like really nice people, and I think I could be happy working there, but their interview style stinks! Anyway, they said it will be a couple of weeks before any decisions are made and the other job (the one that I was encouraged to apply for when the last interviewer called to say I didn't get the job she interviewed me for) closes at the end of next week so I'm hoping they'll move fairly quickly on that as far as choosing people to interview.....we'll see.

That was an odd thing Mare. Did you repeat the question that was wrote down or just plowed into the answer ? Maybe they were seeing how you act under stress ?
I ate one taco whewwww Made them too spicy. peeps are not happy.

Gonna try them & hope i can dress them since they have fewer featjhers. We buy alot of chicken. Need to eat roos instead of feeding them to the dog.
Are you opposed to skinnless chicken for eating/cooking? That is an easy way to avoid the whole issue of plucking. I find with the right breading you don't even really miss the skin for things like frying, etc.

LOL nope rushed home to get Abby in the welping/puppy box so she could finish the job.
But I did give him grief about his magic finger for years after that. GOD I miss him and his reasonable rates.

Some girls are just that sneaky, nary a sign to be seen and then you look away for 30 seconds and BAM, there's a baby.
Good vets are SO few and far between, they are worth their weight in gold and are sorely missed when they aren't there anymore.......especially good vets with reasonable rates! I about choked when I took Z to the vet that the in-laws recommended out here ----- nice enough people, but the prices!!!! Now I know how they were able to afford to build their fancy, new "state of the art" clinic/hospital and staff of 20+ --- found a nice place here in town, looks like a little hole in the wall, and think that is where we'll be going from here on out......really liked the receptionist and vet when I stopped in to chat with them

I have been there in college. one month it was the choice between my Dilantin or groceries. I think that is now why I stress unless freezers are full and the pantry with home-canned goods.

I hear you on that, Twist, went through some major insecurity when we had first moved because I left all my stockpile of food and my extra freezer with DD/her DF --- finally starting to feel a bit better now as I got a freezer that I am in the process of filling and I have been able to start getting a good fill on the pantry shelves, REALLY looking forward to next year when I can get some canning and home-frozen veggies put up, plus DH is talking about going hunting with his cousin for elk and deer!

Morning. Bubba was fine all night. He had another little poop accident, but he wears pull-ups so it was fine. Hopefully this bug is behind us.

SO glad to read this - have been thinking of and worrying about him (and you).

Well that makes it harder, doesn't it?

Your turkey sounds sweet. I can see you walking it around on a leash, taking it to Walmart for treats, making little costumes for it...

LOL, call him your "service turkey"......maybe "emotional support turkey"?

Part of her explanation of not reading the question included "I find it takes up a lot of time to in asking the questions and makes the whole process longer than it needs to be" so I took that as "don't read the question out loud" -- I kind of lead into the answer with a bit of a lead in that referenced the wording of the question (each panel member had a copy of the same sheet I had so they had the questions in front of them).

OOPS on the spicy tacos --- do you use lettuce on your tacos? If so, loading up on lettuce is a good way to take away some of the heat in the bites.
