I read a thread here early today with a suspected egg bound hen and OP was told to stick a finger up there to feel for an egg. I didnt comment but thought to myself if I ever have a hen suspected of being bound its just gonna have to die cause I am not sticking my fingers up no chickens ass.

Half? Maybe for a whole shell. Abalone only have the single shell on top. That's it. Underneath is the "foot" of the animal that sucks onto the rocks. (like a snail) Cutting it in half would devalue it. The neighbor had some out in his yard. He either mowed them or his grandkids destroyed them. I saved a couple... somewhere.

Wishing, do you know what a lash egg is ? I have recently read its a hard mass of infection.

I did a C Section on a goat that died while pregnant! It was amazingly easy. Sadly, both kids were dead. I was hoping to save them.
