Hello everyone. Still a little bit of Thanksgiving left here. We had a very nice day and good food. First holiday without hubs' mom, so it was a little strange not having to drive hour+ up to her house, which we have done for nearly every holiday for the last 20 yrs or so.

Going to get my eyes checked tomorrow morning and order some new glasses. You should see all the forms they want me to fill out... SS#, my gender at birth, my current gender identity (I kid you not), ethnicity, emergency contact info, household income, people in my house, and tons more... haha, yeah, no. No way am I filling that out! She is going to look at my eyes and ask me which is clearer while she flips the little lenses... 1 or 2? 3 or 4? and then I will pull out my credit card, take my prescription for new glasses and leave.

Can't think of a single reason why that requires my SS#.
Good health is slowing returning to this house. Lingering cough for my older son and hubs still feeling like he's fighting something, but no one is worse, and I have avoided it all so far, knock wood.

I went up to the farm on Tuesday and picked some winter apples... I am not a fan of pie, but will attempt some sort of apple crumble this weekend. I also went to a neighbor's house and picked some figs, which we will eat, and got a couple handfuls of guavas off my feijoa shrubs for the first time ever. Not sure what to do with them... anyone ever make anything with guavas?

I am tired and rambling. Sounds like you all had some good family time for turkey day. Especially Papa... good because it sounds like Aunt Wacky really needs some serious help. Hope they can help her.

What is it supposed to help? I didn't know it was health food!! :lol: Hubs is going to be thrilled with the news!
 
Mornings, Finally got some good sleep. Glad everyone seems to be doing ok except Camping, You looked miserable in that pic. LOL Having to wear a dog bed to get warm. LOLOL Why didnt you just go home ?
Whole bowl of mashed potatoes empty in the sink this am . I will be glad when Robert is off the steroids . That was dinner for everyone today. Oh well . Better then not being able to eat . Heavy frost out there this am.

Brother drove. It was our second-to-last stop and I was whupped. Gumbo wasn’t ready so I hadn’t eaten supper, and my boot-foot was pretty sore.

We filled the entire trunk on brother’s little car. We’re about to head out again.
