That's weird..... I have no idea what can cause that. Tomorrow I might be a little sharper in my search.... Feathers equal protein... They eat plenty of protein...

Internal organ damage is the only thing I can think.

My mind keeps going back to that pumpkin . Remember I found my candy corn little dead right on top of it ?  Do people spray pumpkins with poisons?

I hope not... I have fed my birds plenty of pumpkin. It doesn't seem right unless there was something very wrong with it.

That's horrible.... I wouldn't be buying any more produce where ever you got that pumpkin.... Pumpkin seed is suppose to be a mutual de wormer... There is a chemical in the seeds that will paralyze worms but for it to be so strong to affect the bird is so strange... Maybe it was covered in poison.

Live and mites is all I'm seeing... But they do mention disease but not specifically.

CB used the hatchet to split it and threw it in. I was thinking poison on the skin . there are a few poisons used for pumpkins. but to name all the possibility and track them down to see what side effects they have seems impossible.
