but he is going to eat all your bacon now!!

Sorry about your Cochin. They are such sweet birds. Sometimes they just need restricted movement and rest for awhile. Amazing powers if healing, but I've never had to deal with one quite so old. Hope she improves
Thanks she is getting plenty of rest. I have her food bowl and water bowl in front of her so she doesn't have to move any. I have been adding electrolites to her water and her food.

I think so yes, thanks. Beaux had extreme diarrhea overnight. He was covered in it from horn to hoof, and the inside of the coop looked like a Jackson Pollock. So I got a little worried and ended up taking a fecal to the vet. Beaux was clean for coccidia and worms, and the vet suggested a probiotic powder and to just watch him a few days. I need to take his temp, but I didn't pick up a new thermometer.

Oh, no, poor Beaux! I hope he's over the worst of it now and soon on the mend.

I cut out all the pieces. I'm reading the directions and it says to line up notches... Was I suppose to cut the little triangles out on the patterns. It's not to late I can still do it or is there something else I need to do for those areas???! @campingshaws
Oops - yes, the triangles are where you cut (or mark) notches on your pieces. You can lay the pattern back over the pieces and mark them now so you have the reference points.

I seen Tom watching Rod cooking and he was kinda tilting his head like a pup does when it dont understand something.. Today he went in the kitchen and started frying bacon !

LOL - too funny, maybe it just never occurred to him that men can cook too?? Glad he seems to have picked up a new interest......
I'm ECSTATIC. I've never had cast iron and I'm super excited!

WooHoo!!! Love cast iron -- even if it is "pre-seasoned" it never hurts to do some seasoning of your own too.

It was a Sharp-shinned Hawk. Smallest out there. They are migrating down here for the winter. I will have to sic the crows on it.

Come to think of it, that little hawk is why I'm getting eggs this week! The jays have been laying low and not getting in the coop to break eggs. But now I have to worry about the Seramas.

Eggs... Seramas....

So far the hawk must not see them as prey, but I bet it won't take long. That must be why Joe and PJ were in the garage when I got home around 11. dang hawk!
Huh, one mystery solved and a problem revealed, what's a girl to do?
