Granny's gone and done it again

I've got a bit of a conundrum right now. I agreed to buy all of the d'uccles that hatch from a gal who bought in eggs. She also set some of her own eggs in this hatch.

After a little while, she let me know that her own birds were sick with a respiratory issue. Now, the eggs are popping and she knows her birds at the least have ILT. This cannot be transmitted through eggs, but can be transmitted through infected birds, equipment, droppings, dander, feathers and people not practicing good biosecurity.

So, she obviously really wants me to buy these and I would love to buy them, but I don't want to take unnecessary risks...what do ya'll think? She doesn't intend to touch the chicks and wants me to pull them from the bator, myself.

Edit to add: She just got a call from the lab vet. They also have MS. So, I won't be taking the chicks as MS is transmitted via eggs.

Glad your mind was made for you.

there is one that absolutely can be transmitted through the eggs.  @casportpony
without a vet diagnoses you take chances .

She sent samples into a state lab vet who has diagnosed these 2 illnesses. I will be steering clear of her birds from now on, as she is still wanting to hatch eggs from the flock she has to save her genetics.

I had Not confirmed mg few yrs.. back. I rehomed, came back started with denaguard every month as a preventative for 4-5 months Never had problems after that. Someone was working on breeding it out of their flock and I followed them. It is so very common . I actually pick it up from the grass i was feeding them I think.
