Granny's gone and done it again

Busy busy here with training and boarding. All is well, but I'm so tired! Spent 5 days at a huge conference for dog trainers, came home broke with a cold. Had 1/2 inch rain last week, skunked on the last "storm". Bred my Airedale Terriers...praying for pups! My Monarchs came BACK!!! (butterflies) Never had such a late hatch and a second hatch! I'm sure the eggs are from the ones I released in Sept. By happenstance, I noticed the catties on my milkweed. Had to drag the hatchery back out. I collectred 16 catties to hatch out to help ensure survival. This will be the "Methuselah" generation, the last generation of the season and the only generation that migrates and lives through winter to return here next year. Fascinating if you're interested. Love ya'll gotta check out.
Those are nice looking airdales. Good luck on the breeding. The monarchs sound cool. Wonder if we have milkweed around here?

If there's anything we can do... if you want to talk... I'm kind of dittzy from lack of sleep, but I'm here.

Hi wishing
I am going to be in Napa on nov 11 Friday for a dog show. If you are free you should come watch. It would be great to meet you!
Too cool! What time does it start? #2 can usually hitch a ride with the carpool in the a.m. and my sis can probably get him in the afternoon. When and where?

Ok. Don't know what's going on again but I've been trying to get on and post for I know at least ten minutes now. I know I probably have missed the party now. I'll try again tomorrow. Sweet dreams all.

Sorry I missed you. Trying to do too many things at once.

Is that my only 2 choices ?  I dont know which one but coming from RK and the fact they said it probably wont lay eggs I wish I hadnt bought it because it wont live long.   That you Jane and Twist.  I wonder what their life expectancy is..

Best guess, it's a BBW, not a midget white. Midget whites are rather rare anymore, except from rare turkey breed hatcheries or breeders. Either it's a lot younger than they said or they've been feeding it very poorly. My broad breasted bronze hen is much, much bigger and about the same age they have told you (bought her in mid April).

They're bred for meat, but as long as you don't let them gorge and gorge, they can live a few years. I just saw a 3 year old listed today. I'm keeping my hen for breeding and as a friendly companion. She hangs out "in my back pocket" all the time. Last time we raised BBB, the hen weighed 25# and the tom was 50# after being butchered. So, they are good for meat and good as pets.
