Granny's gone and done it again

Don't your girls display too?

I had one of my hens display, but not like a turkey. She did a rooster dance at my flock rooster who liked to chase them away from food until he and the hens were done eating. Other than that, no displaying. I suppose none of them have felt the need.

Okay, granny, here are all my layers, including the ones that don't lay anymore. Oldest first!


Peach, buff Orp (almost 5 yrs, not laying)



Monkey the EE (Almost 5 yrs, still lays)



Penny the Hew Hamp (almost 5 yrs, got eggs this summer)



Grace, Welsummer (almost 5 yrs, seldom lays)





Poppy, buff Ameraucana & Dash, wheaten Ameraucana (3 yrs, still laying)







Buster Posey (cuckoo Orp), Lola (Marans project), Figgy Pudding (project Orp)
all 2 yrs, laying



Fern (blue Wyandotte) 6 months, no eggs yet


Charlotte (EE) 6 months, not laying yet





Some humpback whales







And the prettiest, bestest chicken ever, Matilda the Australorp. I wuved her. She died from a prolapsed vent.
