Granny's gone and done it again

Good morning! Waiting for the last little rain cloud to stop spitting on us before letting the hens out. Being lazy this morning, although I did get up to tell #1 to go to work!

I was ondering why you were cooking so early. Sounds yummy!!!
LOL - yeah, MIL has to work Thursday and it's still up in the air if DH does or not (as awful as it may sound, really hoping he does -- until I find a job he is the only income here and we can't really afford to have his check be short that many hours.....something even he didn't really "get" until he saw the look on my face the other day when he came home early and then told me that he may not work tomorrow either - he was just so used to his old job where he had comp time, personal time and paid holidays to make up for any hours he didn't actually work)

How is your dd getting along?

That's a mixed bag - I am still really worried about her physically, she is supposed to be getting another MRI sometime soon to see if there has been any change, but she is still experiencing a lot of headaches and other effects and we are now well over a year out from the injury. On the upside, she is loving the job she has now and they are FINALLY going to be in their own space again so that will help a lot on the stress side of things (the stress makes all the other stuff related to her head worse). She is headed to pick up her kitty today, so she's super excited about that - Addie has been staying with a friend for the last three months (person DD/DF were staying with was not willing to let her bring the kitty) and DD has really missed her.

Not the greatest pictures. We have 3. 2 girls one boy.

Awwwwwww! Can't wait to see them grow and change!

Congrats! How many?

Sounds good. We do something similar with the turkey carcass, but make rice porridge (jook or congee) with ginger root and bits of turkey meat, then serve hot with chopped peanuts, chopped cilantro, soy sauce and if you really want to go asian, bits of pickled veggies and sesame oil. Mmmmm. Hard boiled egg goes nice too. So simple to make, and ultimate comfort food. Excellent for breakfast. Sometimes I will throw a turkey in the oven just to be able to make jook (Cantonese name).

Mmmmmm, that sounds like something DH would really like......may have to try that next time. I totally get making turkey just because for things like that -- never understood people who only do turkey once a year.

Actually we thought 4 by the ultrasound but when she had three I took her in so I didn't have to worry about anymore. Two of the puppies were very hard to deliver. I was afraid they wouldn't be alive.

Yeah, it can be really hard to get an accurate count by x-ray/ultrasound....close, but not exact.
DH finally got an appt with back surgeon but it's 12/20,long time to get help..I hope all is well with my good friends here,it will take forever to catch up...
Yikes, that does seem a really long way off..........

Woke up too early again. Joey is still sick. No eadache so far so i am hopeful. Devin is taking today and tomorrow off so I am grateful.lots to do today that I didn't get done yesterday

Poor Joey - this is such a crappy time to be sick. Glad you have some extra Devin time.
Lots and lots, and the house gotta be clean too before church tonight. I'm wasting time on BYC hoping it'l go away....
