Pure (distilled) water will freeze at 32° If the water is not pure (has dissolved minerals or salts) the freezing temp will be slightly lower because the "stuff" in the water interferes with the formation of the ice crystals and it needs to be colder to form ice. That's why they use salt to melt ice on roads. I don't think minerals make as much difference as salt, so not sure if the difference in Banty using her well water (full of minerals) vs distilled water would be all that great. I doubt the difference would even be measurable without a very accurate thermometer... let alone trying to control temps in am incubator that exactly.
