I don't think she will manage any time soon. She was looking at real estate out here and thought her place was worth much more than the real estate agents said it was. She was thinking in CA prices, which are ridiculous, thank you very much Silicon Valley and fancy schmancy wineries!

Besides, who is going to buy a house in the depth of a Missouri winter?? My bones are aching just thinking about it. My blood's too thin and I am a total weather wimp!!

Most winter days i go out just long enough to feed everyone & collect eggs. Warmer days with out wind i pick greens from the garden.

Yeah, the differences in real estate prices between CA and MO are just crazy!
My bones ache all the time anyway. I'm a cold weather wimp until I absolutely have to go out in it, and then I just do it because there's no other way around it. Lol.

Hi Jane That's pretty much how my winter days are except for chopping ice in the water tanks for the cattle. I don't have a garden.

Jane, you and I can never really complain about the cold on this thread, not with Mr. Yak of the Frozen North! I have never been in that kind of cold. I guess if you are prepared for it and have the proper clothes... I would be indoors a lot I bet. brrrr

The wind is whistling! It sounds like a blizzardd out there, but it's only rain.

Hahaha!  You probably don't have much of anything green growing either!  We wait for winter for the grass to grow.  Hubs had to mow last week.

The grass is still green here, but not for long. Some of the grass, like fescue, will stay a greenish/brownish all winter.
