Running errands this morning, I passed this little park with a swampy little pond. The surface of the pond was covered in mist, and the mist was drifting off up toward the street. Pond is full of waterfowl... geese, ducks, coots, and seagulls. With the sun coming up and the mist swirling, it was beautiful. By the time I parked and walked to get a good picture, most of the mist disappeared.

mmm, New cookie this yr. it smells so good. oatmeal . yummy molasses , the delightful perfect little butter cookies, fudges, caramel. I have taken a small taste of everything except the caramel. Tom took a piece of fudge and he like did a 2 step or something with his feet. It was funny. He said, He found his recipe ! Both boys want the butter cookies. I gave them a couple each and hid the rest.

Awww, yay for goodie boxes -- it all sounds so delicious! Good on ya for hiding the treasure - those boys would have gobbled them all up and left you nary a crumb.

I never could get the ducks to the pond today. I'll try with the truck tomorrow. Here's DD holding the biggest male.

We all need that now and then I think -- the trick is realizing it before you've blown up, so sounds like you've got that down pat.

DH and I watched all four hunger games movies yesterday. It was after midnight when I went to bed, but still! I woke up feeling great!

That's great - are you au natural or do you use artificial lighting to increase winter production? Are these first year birds?

Morning all! Looks like we're gonna get a big snow storm/blizzard just in time for Christmas

I'm looking forward to it since our snow looks so gross right now.

Nothing prettier than a white Christmas -- and nothing ickier to look at than snow in that gross stage. They got dumped on back "home" (not too far from McCall) this week from the things I've been seeing on FB -- kind of jealous given that all we are getting is a soggy, wet Christmas here.........
