I bought a Kindle for traveling. It's great for that and I don't need to have a lamp on when I want to read at night. Don't use it at home. Still want my paper copy! There's something about knowing how many pages are left and being able to flip back and forth and skip around in a real book. And books don't rev up your brain waves like a screen does.

and if you read while soaking in a nice HOT tub dropping a kindle in the water might be quite shocking

Good neighbors, except they should have cut that tree down years ago, as it is closer to my house than theirs. Said they couldn't afford it and then went out and bought 2 new motorcycles... one is a Harley. Not cheap, those. So, I figure it's a case of "you reap what you sow" if anything happens. Tree hasn't completely died and majority of the needles have fallen (on my roof!) so it looks pretty secure for now. (darn it anyway!)

We lost a young/pullet EE on Friday but then I always expect to loose a few until they get the "egg factory" up and running smoothly

well that's a blessing I guess. I have the old huge tubs from the 50's in the house and most of the rooms. OMG what a joy to sit in a deepish tub and not have to turn into a human pretzel just to get my lower body all in and soaking.

I haven't had a bath in years. (PU !) Tub is too short and I can't stretch out my lags, so there's no point. There are some hot springs around here. We went a few years ago, and when you get out, you feel all rubbery... completely relaxed. Ahhhhh

neither Rod or Robert can remember that they are Easter Eggers and call them "owls" do to the puffs and coloration of some of them. We won't post what the Australorps are referred to as. The silver laced wyandotts were "feather laced" The only breed they ever got right were the Brahma's Haven't even started trying to get them to remember the Delwares and New Hampshires. They are now the ones in the annex and the brown chickens
