Granny's gone and done it again

Quote:
She has lived an interesting life. Imagine being a daughter in a well off Chinese family, your mother is third wife. Then the Japanese attack and WWII forces you to leave your home and flee to the country. There is very little food and no meat for years, especially for children. Then Mao and his deadly cultural revolution sweep the country, and you are considered a bad person because your father ran a profitable business, so you and your mother make your way to Hong Kong with other relatives. She is very intelligent and ambitious. She went to school, chose an English name, and learned English and Mandarin. After her father's death in a ferry accident, she watched her brothers run the company into the ground. She could have run the company very well by herself, but the brothers would pay little attention to a woman. At 19, she was introduced to a handsome Chinese American widower who was looking for a new wife to take back to California. After a few months, she agreed to marry him and left her family to travel across the ocean to a whole new world where she knew no one, but made a life for herself and raised her own family. Can you imagine? I don't know that I would have been so brave. In her 70s, she was taking computer classes and learning Spanish at the community college, just because. She loves to travel, has seen much of the world and is always interested in learning new things. I always call her a hummingbird... tiny, but ferocious, constantly moving and always looking for something to eat!

The wind sounds fierce outside . I have to do something for the chickens water. I bet they are starved for water. Their water container is froze solid. This would be the 3rd light bulb so something else is going on. I cant imagine what . I made it , I know its correct. The other one in there is fine . water cant get in. So I dont know what to do.

Morning Banty, Wow, you cant go outside til its in the 70s ?  :gig   I wish I knew your age. even young, middle aged ect.. I guess you to be around Campings age but thats just a poor guess.

LOL, at this point in the year I'd just settle for being out of the single digits.... Wish it would hit my age; but that aint happening for a while.
