Alright. Back to some organizing the second bedroom. The girls are creeping at me through the patio door.

Was not sure where peach was. Popped my head outside and there she was. Completely unconcerned about the chickens circling.

Well, as expected the "big winter storm" they were working so hard to whip up some panic over came and went with no problem -- poor DS only got a 2 hour late-start instead of the closure everyone was just sure would come.....just as well, as it stands they've worked out a plan that only means going one day longer than originally on the calendar for this year by making up the rest of the days between now and then....plus he's in surly teen mode these last couple days so I'd have had to kill him were we stuck in the house together all day, lol. Unfortunately, it is raining -- and supposed to rain for at least the next seven days.......I have some hope that the boys might get out to start the coop next Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, but that's based only on the 10 day forcast so it will probably change. Really hoping they get to start in time for it to be done when the kids are out for their visit -- DD wants to go chick shopping with me *and* it'll give us a chance to work on nagging her DF about a flock of their own.

The rain here is just going to be a bit annoying, but is supposed to be dripping on and off for at least a week.
Surly teenagers, I know! Big hug for you!

The Sussex are huge. Aren't they all the same age in the small pen? One Wyandotte a male for sure. Hope they get some lacing. And that tiny little white pullet is from your eggs? serama? Older crew look thirsty!

the light colored BLRW under the light is the one we saved. It has small wattles.

the big black one is AC has gold leakage around the neck. IMO makes it better looking but oh so sweet and calm. and Dr.suess is getting his hat also has gold leakage. He is also very friendly.
I have 9 fertile eggs that I can see. 5 dr seuss and 4 full polish. I didnt toss any of them but I just cant see in the dark ones. Even with the new led flashlight Lisa bought. Unless the stink I will leave them. A couple of eggs are very porous . Time for some more extra calcium. and my candy corn bantam polish was found dead today. I dont see a reason why. I have one CC left and she is my first hen so a couple yrs. old.

blr wandottes and jubilee orphs. no sussex. they are huge . yes my serama . I dont know what to do with her. She is in the big coop and I dont have another to add with her to the serama s.
Older crew didnt have a drop of water. It was filled up day before so it has leaked out. Poor things. The door was right there. Should of seen us trying to get out. LOL
I guess the turkey is a hen ? I dont see anything rooster.

So, as I was saying, they drug me out of the house with only one cup of coffee this am. I went to versailles for some cash then KY. for my smokes then breakfast. in madison. I am sitting across from Tom. I am putting jelly on my toast and he is staring at me.

Then he is snickering . This man dont make noise when he laughs, he turns purple and his face screws up and his body shakes. I am trying to ignore this . so I go back to my toast. I use half the packet so I need 2 for the 4 cut slices. I am one short and am puzzled. This is when I look and Tom is literally about to fall out of the booth . He looks like he is having a seizure he is laughing at my puzzled look. I take a bite of my toast staring at him and then it hits me, I have jellied both sides and have it all over me. (sigh) I said this is what happens with no coffee ! Then everyone is laughing at me including the waitress.

Barely , they are lucky they made it back. Crossed my mind a few times to drive off and leave them.
