So jealous!  There's a big even (not a show, though) coming up next weekend - I'm tempted to go, but wouldn't be able to bring anything home so talking myself out of it since it'd just be depressing to see birds I want but can't buy............

Go, it's fun and the chickens are unbeleivable.

Wow -- just got home from a nice evening out with DH. Went to a fundraiser dinner/auction for the local veterans organization - went with his boss/his wife, DH's parents and boss's business partner in the second store. Anyway, they "wow" part -- saw a bottle of freaking booze go for $1800!!!!!!!! We were clearly in a room full of people with too much money and not enough to do with it, lol. I about fell out of my chair (especially since it was "only" valued at $599 -- two couples got in a friendly bidding war over it). They raised a bunch of money for a very good cause, we got to meet some rather influential people in our new community and made points with the boss-man so all-in-all a successful evening I suppose, lol.
